Crews put out quick spreading wildfire at Grand Haven boardwalk

GRAND HAVEN, MICH. - Just as quickly as it started and spread, a wildfire at the Grand Haven boardwalk was put out Wednesday afternoon.

The fire started around 4 p.m. near Butch's Beach Burritos on South Harbor Drive in a grassy, wooded area near the sidewalk and quickly moved up the hill, witnesses say.

Fire crews were able to put the fire out in about 20 minutes and proceeded to hose down some electrical boxes in the area.

No word on any injuries.
