Teen charged in Grand Haven armed robbery

GRAND HAVEN, MICH. - An 18 year old from Rockford has been charged in connection to an armed robbery in Grand Haven that happened over the summer during the Coast Guard Festival.

The robbery took place in the YMCA parking lot on Aug. 5, just after 10:30 pm.

The teen allegedly robbed two victims at gunpoint taking cell phones and jewelry. Both victims were 17 year olds from Montague.

The teen is charged with two counts of armed robbery. His name is being withheld until he is arraigned.

Armed robbery is a felony punishable by up to life in prison.
