GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Police aren't looking for suspects nor is there an apparent threat to the public after a body was found near the city's Medical Mile.
Grand Rapids police were called around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 18, to the area of Lafayette Avenue and Hastings Street, according to a police lieutenant.
The victim, only identified as an adult woman, was believed to been found dead by a passerby.
Earlier reports to police indicated the woman might have been shot, but that was not the case, the lieutenant confirmed.
The manner of death, in which suicide is not being ruled out, is such that police are not actively looking for suspects.
