Carvers to offer 'finest meats' in Grand Rapids beginning Friday

Dan Harland and Lauren Stanton tell us about a new full service butcher, kitchen and deli opening in Grand Rapids' Downtown Market Friday.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The newest addition to the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids is preparing to open to customers Friday, Oct. 7, 2016.

Carvers: Grand Rapids' Finest Meats, a locally-owned butcher, will open at 9 a.m. right next to Fish Lads. Both businesses are owned by Jeff Butzow, who says Carvers will source the best products in a sustainable way, and at an approachable price.

Cases will be fully stocked with beef, pork, poultry, lamb and more. Carvers will also have a full-service kitchen with a $5 dollar burger, chicken wings, and sandwiches featuring pastrami and corned beef.

There will also be a full-service deli. Customers will be able to enjoy grab-and-go sandwiches and salads. There will even be breakfast sandwiches for people on the go on the way to work.
