Drunk driving effort using spoof beer names

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) Law enforcement officers from 150 local, county and state agencies are stepping up to crack down on drunk driving through Labor Day.

This year though, they are taking an unusual approach by introducing the Traffic Safety Brewing Company.

In partnership with the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association, highway safety officials are introducing spoof alcohol menus featuring "Call a Cab Cider" and "Left My Keys at Home Lager" to encourage drivers to drink responsibly.

HIghway safety officials say Grand Rapids is the perfect place to kick off the fake brewery campaign, given its title of "Beer City USA".
