Griffins' Calder Cup celebration parade set for Friday

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The Griffins plan to celebrate the teams Calder Cup Championship with a parade. 

The parade is set to start at 4 p.m. Friday, June 16. It will begin at Ottawa Street on the west side of Van Andel Arena.

From the arena, the parade is slated to go west on Weston Street, right (north) on Market Avenue to Monroe Avenue, right on Monroe Center, right on Ottawa Avenue and right on Louis Street before concluding at Rosa Parks Circle.

All Griffins players and coaches will ride in the back of black, red and silver pickups. 

The rally will feature a videoboard showing highlights of Tuesday’s cup-clinching victory plus a giveaway of 2,500 championship T-shirts.
