GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - 1,600 Consumers Energy customers in Grand Rapids were without power Wednesday morning.
Senior Public Information Director Roger Morgenstern said the outage was due to a 46,000 volt line that went out service in the downtown area on Nov. 23.
The company says all power was restored by 9:19 a.m., about an hour after it went out.
Several businesses were closed due to the outage.
What caused the volt line to go out of service remains under investigation.
