Hundreds of people join 'March 4 Trump' demonstration at Calder Plaza

Numerous speakers shared why they are for Trump and why his supporters need to continue to come together.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Chants of "Make American Great Again" echoed Saturday afternoon throughout Calder Plaza as hundreds of people took part in a "March 4 Trump" rally.

Similar demonstrations took place across the country for supporters to show their pride in Donald Trump's presidency.

At the Grand Rapids event, numerous speakers shared why they are for Trump and why his supporters need to continue to come together.

One person told us Trump supporters might not be as loud or as vocal, but they most certainly exist.

"I believe he's got a lot of good policies and there are so much negative things going on," Debbie Forth said. "I just wanted to come out and say, 'Hey we're not all against him.'"

Security was top of mind at the pro-Trump rally as it was being watched by an armed group called the Michigan Patriots Coalition.

The group told the crowd they do not have a stance on Saturday's protest or counter-protest -- just simply there to keep everyone safe.
