Woman hit by 2 cars in serious condition, police say

Police on the scene say the 19-year-old woman was walking across Fuller when she was hit and thrown into oncoming traffic.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - A 19-year-old woman is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by two cars this morning, according to police.

The incident occurred at 7:10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Fuller Avenue and Race Street in Grand Rapids.

While trying to cross Fuller, the victim was hit by one car and projected into the path of another. She was taken to Spectrum Health with serious injuries.

Police closed Fuller Avenue between I-196 and Michigan Street for several hours recreating the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
