Rapid Silverline service to begin in August

Grand Rapids, Mich. (WZZM) If you have seen the new bus stops for the Rapid's Silverline on Division Avenue buried in snow, not to worry, Rapid officials say the project is on schedule.

The Silverline will run from Downtown Grand Rapids south on Division Avenue to 60th Street. The bus will make stops along the way every ten minutes during peak morning and evening rush hours.

Rapid officials say 29 of the 33 bus stops are built. Construction on the remaining 4 locations will start once the snow melts. The Silverline is expected to officially begin providing service on August 25th.
