Film, panel on raising kids in a digital age

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Raising your kids in the digital age can be challenging, which is why the Diocese of Grand Rapids has teamed up with a group called "Protect Young Eyes" to help parents navigate raising their kids in the digital world.

They are presenting a showing of "Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age" on Tuesday, October 11, at 7 p.m. at Celebration! Cinema North, 2121 Celebration Dr. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.

"Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age" examines how technology can impact kids' development and how to help them use it with balance. Filmmaker Delaney Ruston is a physician who began studying the issue after seeing her own children's experience with tech.

A panel discussion will follow the film. Parents and children age 10 and older are invited.
