Police shoot, kill pit bull during drug search of home

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Grand Rapids police officers shot and killed an aggressive pit bull while executing a search warrant at a home Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 5 p.m. at a home in the 900 block of Fourth Street NW.

Officers were executing a narcotics search warrant for a Kentwood police investigation when the dog charged officers.

Police shot the animal. No officers were hurt.
