29-year-old man dies at hospital after overnight shooting

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The Grand Rapids Police Department is conducting a death investigation after a shooting victim died shortly
after being brought to an area hospital.

At approximately 3:32 a.m. Sunday, July 16, police were called to the intersection of Bates Street and Henry Avenue on reports of “sounds of gunshots.”  

As officers were working the shots fired call, Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital notified the Grand Rapids Police Department at 3:41 a.m. that a 29-year-old man arrived by a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the shoulder where he was pronounced dead. The family of the victim has confirmed his identity Larry Moore. 

No suspects have been arrested.

The department’s Major Case Team is investigating the incident. Anyone having additional information is
