GRPD: Cyclist injured in hit-and-run crash

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a cyclist injured.

It happened around 12:20 a.m. Friday at the intersection of 28th Street and South Division Avenue.

Officers say the man on the bicycle was northbound on Division when he was hit by a car making a left turn from southbound Division to eastbound 28th Street. They say the vehicle stopped for a moment, then drove off.

The victim, a 21-year-old Grand Rapids man, is being treated at Mercy Health Saint Mary's for a serious head injury.

Officers describe the vehicle involved in the crash as a gray older model minivan or SUV.
