GRPD responds to armed robbery at liquor store

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- Canine units quickly responded to an armed robbery Tuesday night, as police started searching for their suspect.

The perpetrator, armed with a handgun, ran away after taking cash and cigarettes from the Miti-Mini Superette on Giddings near Hall.

The robbery was reported around 10:30pm.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid 20s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He had the hood up and hid his face with a black bandanna.
