Health clinic holds block party

Exalta Health host block party along South Division

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The importance of health and healthcare within the community was the focus of a family friendly event in Grand Rapids Monday night. Exalta Health hosted a block party for its neighbors at their location on South Dvision.

Those with the non-profit health-care organization say not many people are aware of the services they provide, or even that they exist.

Bill Paxton, the President of Exalta Health says the block party was held to help them get acquainted with their neighbors, "We're here to serve people.  A lot of people think if they don't have health insurance or if they've got high deductibles that they can't get good medical care. That's not true because we're here in the neighborhood providing excellent medical care and we do that on a sliding fee scale because of generosity in the community."

The block party was paid for by a local family who volunteers with the organization.
