Man arrested for attempting to buy children for sex exploitation

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force conducted an investigation that lead to the arrest of a 29-year-old Grand Rapids man.

On September 1, 2016, the man arranged to meet an undercover officer, believing they had minor children for sale for the purposes of sexual exploitation.

Detectives made contact with the male subject who possessed items related to the planned sexual assault. The man stated his intentions were to sexually assault the children.

The arrest was made near 44th Street and S. Division Avenue in Grand Rapids. The man is lodged at the Kent County Correctional Facility on the charges of child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime.
