GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- One person is in the hospital after a fire early Wednesday morning on Grand Rapids' southeast side.
It happened around 1 a.m. on Dunham Street near the corner of Fuller Avenue. The battalion chief tells WZZM 13 News that four people were living in the house when the fire broke out. All four of them made it out of the home.
The woman who was taken to the hospital was treated for smoke inhalation. No firefighters were hurt battling the fire.
There's no word yet on what caused the fire but investigators say most of the damage happened in the basement.
