Black Hills murder victim identified

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Police have identified the 27-year-old man who was shot and killed on the city's Southwest Side earlier this week.

Brice Carrington Jackson was shot around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, in an alley between Dorchester and Norwich avenues. That's just west of U.S. 131 near the corner of Godfrey Avenue and Hall Street.

Jackson was taken to Mercy Health Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids where he later died.

Police were only able to offer a vague description of the suspect. They say he's a black man, around 5'5" and weighs around 125 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark clothing.
