Local coffee shop expands to Grand Rapids' West Side

GRAND RAPISD, MICH. - West Siders will soon have another option for their morning (or evening) coffee.

Sparrows Coffee Tea and Newsstand announced Monday, April 3, they will open a second location on Bridge Street in June. The original location is on Wealthy Street.

“We are fortunate to celebrate 10 years of business by opening a second store and are looking forward to serving the West Side community this summer," said Sparrows owner Lori Slager Wenzel in a press release.

The new space will accommodate up to 49 people.

According to a press release, Sparrows will have many of the same menu options as the Wealthy Street location -- with an emphasis on healthy options like tea, cold pressed juice and house made syrups and products.

Sparrows will be open seven days a week.
