Man treated for minor wound after claimed stabbing in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Grand Rapids police responded to a man who claims he was stabbed on the city's Northwest Side.

Officers were called to a report of a possible stabbing just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, near the intersection of 11th Street and McReynolds Avenue NW. 

Upon arrival, officers found a man sitting on his porch with a minor wound. He told police someone came out of nowhere and stabbed him.

Police do not have any suspect information, however, there's question as to if the incident happened as described, a sergeant at the scene said.

There is no apparent danger to the public.
