Police: Woman at Lake Michigan Credit Union ATM robbed at gunpoint

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Police are on the hunt for a suspect who reportedly stole money from a woman at gunpoint in the middle of the afternoon.

Officers were called just before 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2, to the Lake Michigan Credit Union on Lake Michigan Drive near Collindale Avenue NW, where a woman reported she was robbed while taking money out of the ATM, according to a Grand Rapids police lieutenant.

The suspect is described as a male in his late 20s or early 30s wearing a winter cap and stonewashed jeans. He ran away from the credit union, heading east, police say.

It's not known how much money was stolen. The woman was not hurt.
