Reward offered for arrest, conviction of West Side bike shop break-in suspect

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - A bike shop on Grand Rapids' West Side has had its windows broken at least three times in a month, and police aren't sure who's causing the damage.

But $100 could be yours if you know who broke into Freewheeler Bike Shop on Leonard Street, thanks to a neighbor, The Geek Group, according to a Facebook post.

The shop was damaged on Aug. 18 and 29, Grand Rapids Police Sgt. Terry Dixon said. It again was vandalized Monday, Sept. 5, and a bike might have been stolen. Police say they are awaiting word from the shop's owner to confirm a bike is missing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Observer at 616-456-3400.
