GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - On September 12th, 'Desmond Jones' will celebrate one year of residency at the Tip Top Deluxe on the West side of Grand Rapids.
Since September of 2015, the band has played almost every Monday night from 9 p.m. -1 a.m.
The band moved to Grand Rapids just over a year ago, and quickly found itself submerged in the local music community. The residency at the Tip Top has allowed the band to gather a group of dedicated fans and experiment with their original and unique catalog of music.
The celebration show takes place on September 12 from 9pm-1am and is free. Hannah Rose Graves, Ben Taber (The Legal Immigrants), and Joe Hettinga (Strange Arrangement/Third Coast Recording) are some of the guests that will be featured in the show.
The band prides itself on high-energy performances that presents the audience with a positive and fun experience. Every set and song is unique and comes from a catalog of over 55 original tunes. Described as "an up-and-coming band" by John Sinkevics from Local Spins, Desmond Jones is happy to be making music in West Michigan.
