GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MICH. - A Grand Rapids hospital staff is working to keep a 7 year old alive after they nearly drowned in a pool.
Crews were called around 2 p.m. Saturday, June 24, to the Sunningdale neighborhood where the child was needing rescue, according to an Ottawa County Sheriff's Department news release.
CPR was given to the child before they were taken to the hospital.
As of early Saturday evening, the child remains in critical condition.
The child's identity nor circumstances leading up to the near drowning is not known.
