GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MICH. - A 30-year-old Hudsonville man has died from his injuries after being hit by a car Sunday night.
It happened just before 6 p.m., Nov. 27, near the corner of Port Sheldon Street and 48th Avenue.
Deputies say Korey Taphouse was walking west when he was hit by a car driven by a 46-year-old Hudsonville woman. She drove home, thinking she had only hit a deer, before calling 911.
Taphouse was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in critical condition. Police say he died Monday at 5:43 a.m.
The incident remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.
