Man robs gas station with knife

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Ottawa County deputies need your help finding the man they say robbed a gas station in Jenison early Monday, March 13.

Investigators got the call around 12:58 a.m. from the Speedway station on Baldwin Street near the corner of 20th Avenue.

An employee told deputies a man came in to make a purchase. When he got to the counter, he pulled out a knife and demanded money.

The suspect got away with some cash. Witnesses describe him as a white man in his late teens to early 20s. He's around 5'9" or 5'10" and 170 pounds.

Investigators say the suspect ran away from the Speedway station and they used a K-9 unit to track him. But the dog lost the scent.

If you know anything about the robbery, you're asked to call the Ottawa County Sheriff's Dept. or Silent Observer at 1-877-SILENT.
