GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Ottawa County Deputies have tentatively identified the man found in the Grand River near Jenison last week.
Investigators say based on tattoos and other characteristics, the medical examiner has identified the man as 28-year-old Dion Robert Heys of Grand Rapids.
A man walking his dog found the body on a nature trail about 1 p.m. Thursday.
They are in the process of getting dental records from out of state to confirm the identity. Police say Heys drowned one to two weeks ago and at this point foul play does not appear to be a factor in the drowning.
