Teenager critical after being shot with pellet gun

Deputies say a 14-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was shot in the head with a pellet gun.

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MICH. - A 14-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was shot in the head with a pellet gun by his friend.

Deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office say the incident happened around 8:25 p.m. in the 7500 block of Shadbleau Drive on Sunday, June 11.

The pellet, shot by the boy's 13-year-old friend, became lodged in his brain. He was rushed to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. He remains in critical condition Monday afternoon.
