1 person killed in 2 car accident in Holland

HOLLAND, MICH. - On Monday Sept. 19, a 2008 Chevy Malibu failed to stop for a stop sign and pulled into the path of a Honda Fit.

The driver of of the Malibu, 87 year old Henry Fozkos of Holland, Mr. Fozkos was transported to Holland Hospital by AMR. The Holland Department of Public Safety was notified on Tuesday, that Mr. Fozkos has died as a result of his injuries.

The driver of the Honda Fit, a 41 year old Holland man, was uninjured in the crash.

Police arrived on the scene about 11:15 a.m. They do not believe speed nor alcohol were a factor in the crash. The driver of the Honda had been wearing his seatbelt, while it appears Mr. Fozkos was not. The crash is still under investigation.
