Attempted Holland Twp. break-in under investigation

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department is looking for the man accused of trying to break into a home Friday morning.

Authorities say it happened around 8am on Briarwood Drive. A resident woke up to the sounds of breaking glass, and found a man breaking a window to try getting inside the home. The man couldn't get in using that window, so he went to another window and broke it.

The resident confronted the man and he fled.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late teens or early 20s. He was about 5'8" to 5'10" with a thin build. He wore a dark or camouflage jacket or hoody and carried a dark or camo backpack.

He was last seen running in the area of Ashbourne Drive and Renwood Drive.

Anyone with information on this case should call Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT.
