HOLLAND, MICH. - Court records show a fight that ended in a deadly shooting near Holland started between two people, someone other than the man who was killed.

It happened during the early morning hours of Sept. 11 in the parking lot of the Hookah Lounge of Holland on Butternut Drive. According to the Holland Sentinel, the incident began as a confrontation between Demetrius Viney, 23, and Adam Young, 27.

Records allege Viney pulled a gun and pointed it at Young, but Young managed to push the gun away as it was fired.

One of the shots killed Anthony Lamb. He is related to Kalamazoo shooting survivor Tiana Carruthers.

A second victim was hit in the leg. Police have not released his name.

Investigators haven't said whether Lamb was involved in the altercation or was just a bystander. Viney and Young are in jail on charges connected to the case, but neither has been charged with murder.
