HOLLAND, MICH. - For the second time in just a few days, Holland police are investigating a report of a suspicious car around Holland High School.
The school alerted Holland High Schools parents about the incident but not much information is known. While no crime was committed, police say the car was driving slowly by students.
The drivers behavior concerned police enough to push out an alert on social media identifying the suspicious car as a Black Jeep Cherokee SUV, older, with a partial plate of DEQ.
"Holland usually does a pretty decent job of letting us know and keeping the kids safe," parent, Ron Davis, said.
Holland Public Schools Superintendent Brian Davis tells WZZM 13 all schools were notified and reminded students of safe walking practices such as:
- Avoid Walking by yourself
- Be aware of your surroundings
- Take the most direct route
- If you see anything suspicious report it
There is no surveillance video of the car. Police say they have stepped up patrol in the area, in the meantime, they're asking parents and students to remain vigilant.
