Holland Township man charged with robbing party store

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, MICH. - A 22 year old Holland Township man is in the Ottawa County jail facing charges in connection to an armed robbery of a party store last week.  Investigators say the robbery took place at the Side Door Party Store at 673 Douglas Avenue in Holland Township, on Thursday, November 10, 2016, around 10:50 p.m.

According the Sheriff's Department, an employee told police that the suspect was holding an object in a way someone would hold a gun and demanded money.  Detectives say they did find evidence outside of the store that implicated the 22 year old Rodney Dupree Cole.

Cole was arrested Sunday afternoon around 12:30 p.m.  He was arraigned on armed robbery charges Monday.  He is in jail on a $10,000 cash bond.

Ottawa County deputies are asking anyone with more information on the robbery to call Silent Observer with any information at 1-877-88-SILENT, or tips can be sent to MOSOTIPS.com
