HOLLAND, MICH. - October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month and a special event is being held at Hope College to initiate conversation.
Lesley Goghill from the Center for Women in Transition and Sara Bazydlo Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence Prevention Educator at Hope College provide a preview of "Opening Doors to the Voices of Survivors" event.
It is slated to be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at the Martha Miller Center Rotunda, 257 Columbia Ave.
The reception in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month features artwork created by local survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
