Pedestrian airlifted after being hit by car in Holland

HOLLAND, MICH. - Authorities in Holland say a pedestrian needed to be airlifted from the scene of an accident after being hit by a car early Saturday morning. 

Police were called to Homestead Avenue and 19 Street just before 12:30 a.m.

Aero Med was called to airlift the pedestrian hit to the hospital. Police say the driver stayed at the scene after the crash. 

It has not yet been confirmed whether any drugs or alcohol played roles in the crash.
