Police: 14-year-old teen runs in front of car, is critically injured

HOLLAND, MICH. - A 14-year-old teenager is critically injured after they were hit by a car late Monday.

Two teens were crossing Lincoln Avenue near Veterans Drive when the 14 year old ran in front of a car and was hit, according to a Holland Department of Public Safety news release.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29.

Police say there's not much light in the area, and it was raining at the time of the crash. The driver of the car is a 19-year-old woman; she was not hurt, the release states.

The teen was taken to a Grand Rapids-area hospital for treatment.
