Reports of Holland school shooting not true; suspect arrested

HOLLAND, MICH. - Holland High School went on lockdown for some time Tuesday morning as police looked for a suspect, district spokesman Tom Page said.

Social media postings discussed a shooting at the school, but that is not the case, Page added.

Police in the area of the school sought a person, but an Ottawa County dispatcher could not say why that person was wanted. The school went under lockdown for about five minutes around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, as a precaution.

The suspect was found and arrested not long after.
