Study for proposed Holland development approved

HOLLAND, MICH. - A major development could be coming to downtown Holland.  Wednesday night, the city council approved a study for the project on 7th St.

A developer is proposing to build apartments and shops at the site of a current city parking lot,  the project could cost up to $30,000,000.

The study will last six months after that the city council will reevaluate the proposal.  City leaders say the developers would have to provide enough parking for current shoppers, and new tenants downtown for the proposal to move forward.
