HUDSONVILLE, MICH. - Next week is Earth week and the Green Team at Hudsonville High School is inviting the community to an event Friday night to foster a better understanding about the land and water issues that exist in West Michigan today.
Organizer and HHS science teacher Christine Webster and Joe Bush, the Water Resources Commissioner in Ottawa County, joined the Weekend Morning Team with more information about the Earth Week Expo. Joe is one of the presenters participating in the event.
"The whole purpose of doing the Earth Week Expo with all of these organizations is to educate our participants on the land/water issues that exist today," explained Christine. "Who better to help my Green Team but the experts in the field that monitor them! When when we add games and prizes and make the interaction fun, our participants will remember and hopefully be able to educate others in the community. That ultimately is the goal. We all need to be stewards," she said.
The event is happening Friday, April 21st from 6 to 9pm at the Hudsonville High School main campus gym.
