2 marijuana grows found after apartment fire

OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Several people were evacuated from their homes during a fire that may have started because of a marijuana grow operation.

It happened around 7 p.m., Thursday, April 13, in an apartment complex near the corner of Michigan Avenue and 11th Street in Kalamazoo.

After firefighters put out the flames, they found a marijuana grow in one of the apartments.

While searching the building to figure out if tenants could return to their homes, they found a second, un-related grow operation.
