3 arrested in Van Buren County drug bust

ALMENA TOWNSHIP, MICH. - A Paw Paw man and two women from Kalamazoo are in the Van Buren County jail after being arrested Thursday, March 2.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. on County Road 653. Investigators say they were called out because a wanted suspect was reported to be at a home.

That man, 25-year-old Warren Trowbridge, had a three count warrant for drug and weapons charges. Trowbridge was arrested peacefully while he was sitting in his vehicle. He told police there was a meth lab in that same vehicle.

As Trowbridge was being arrested, two women pulled up in a different vehicle and walked up to the deputies interviewing Trowbridge.

Investigators say the driver had an open alcohol container in the vehicle and admitted to smoking marijuana before arriving at the home. Deputies also found crystal meth and cash in the vehicle the women were in.

The women are ages 27 and 22, but will not be identified until they're formally charged.
