KALAMAZOO, MICH. - UPDATE: Dec. 11, 3 p.m.: Further investigation from Kalamazoo Police has found that medical issues may be the cause of Nalani Pawlowski's passing. The Sheriff's Office is still awaiting the toxicology results and completed reports from the Medical Examiners Officer.
The investigation will continue pending the results of the investigation, but the Sheriff's Office is considering this matter closed.
ORIGINAL: The death of a baby is under investigation according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office.
Around 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, deputies responded to a medical call involving the 2 ½-month-old Nalani Faye-Lynn Pawlowski, at a home on Comstock Village Lane.
Pawlowski was pronounced dead Monday morning at the same home, according to a news release.
Authorities are investigating the cause and manner of the child's death. They are not releasing any more details of the case.
