Missing epileptic man's body found, death under investigation

WAKESHMA TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Authorities in Kalamazoo County say they have located the body of a 71-year-old epileptic man that had been missing since earlier this month.

Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas says Ronald French's body was found in the Fulton area -- his death is currently under investigation.

According to a news release from the sheriff's office, they have been contacted numerous times for updates and information on the case -- with some of the reports being made public, however, they have not confirmed any other information except for French's identity. 

The sheriff office's says they will not have any updates or provide information regarding French's death investigation until it is complete.

French was reported missing on June 21 from his home on South 34th Street in Brady Township, however French's family hadn't seen him since June 4.

At the time he went missing, officials said French suffered from epilepsy and a heart condition. 

The cause of death remains under investigation.
