Missing Kalamazoo man found dead in river

KALAMAZOO, MICH. - Daniel Redd, a Kalamazoo man who has been missing since Nov. 22, was found dead in the Kalamazoo River on Monday, Nov. 27.

Redd was last seen leaving an establishment on the 1300 block of Ravine Road last week. 

A citizen contacted police in Kalamazoo when he saw what he believed to be a body in the river near the Veterans' Memorial on East Michigan near King Highway. 

Officers recovered the body and identified it as Redd. Authorities are investigating the details of Redd's death, but there are no obvious signs of foul play. 

An autopsy has been scheduled for Nov. 28.
