Traffic stop leads police to Kalamazoo drug dealer

KALAMAZOO, MICH. - A drug dealer is behind bars after a routine traffic stop led police to his location in Kalamazoo.

A Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officer stopped a vehicle near Cobb and Mabel, on the city's North side Thursday, Oct. 20. The officer found a 49-year-old Plainwell man with crack cocaine.

An investigation led police to the dealer, a 27-year-old Kalamazoo resident. He was arrested on Douglas Avenue. A digital scale and more crack cocaine was found with the man.

He is currently waiting to be arraigned in the Kalamazoo County Jail.
