Beach advisory remains in effect for Saturday

LAKESHORE AREAS (WZZM) - Wind and waves are expected to pick up and cause beach hazards along Lake Michigan this weekend.

The National Weather Service says that through Saturday night, there will be high wave action along the shoreline, causing strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions.

The advisory stretches all the way from St. Joseph to Manistee. Beaches with particularly dangerous conditions include South Haven, Grand Haven State Park, and Pere Marquette Park in Muskegon.
