MSP: Teen, 16, who talked with person on messaging app reported endangered

A 16 year old from Allegan County is missing and considered in danger after meeting someone on the messaging app Kik.

SAUGATUCK, MICH. - Police believe a missing 16-year-old teen is in danger after she spoke with someone on a messaging app and then decided to leave home.

Joy Dene Martin of Saugatuck left home and possibly boarded a Greyhound bus to travel out of state after chatting with a person on the Kik Messaging app, according to a Michigan State Police news release.

Martin is considered endangered.

She is 5-foot-6-inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. Police say she currently has blonde hair.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or state police at 269-792-2213.
