HART, MICH. - A 37-year-old father of eight children remains missing after one week, although authorities have found his vehicle in rural Wexford County.

The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office continues its search for James Randolph Hepworth, 37, of the Pentwater area.

“Mr. Hepworth’s vehicle has been located in a rural area of Wexford County,” said Lt. Craig Mast. “A search of that area has been done and nothing has been found as to tell us of Mr. Hepworth’s location. We are continuing to look and follow up on any leads that are available.”

He was last seen in his 2001 Chrysler Town and Country Monday, Aug. 1, at noon leaving his workplace, Haworth, in Ludington.

“We are concerned for his wellbeing,” Mast said.
