Police identify man killed in Norton Shores shooting

Police have identified the man shot and killed last week in Norton Shores.

NORTON SHORES, MICH. - The man killed in a shooting last week in Norton Shores is identified as 38-year-old Deangelo Pippen, according to police.

Officers responded around 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, to an area near Norton Avenue and Henry Street on a report of shots fired. Down the road toward Temple Street, police located a silver vehicle with its driver dead.

Multiple rifle shell casings also were found.

Police say Pippen has ties to Roosevelt Park and Detroit. 

No one has been arrested, and police hope witnesses come forward and surveillance video surfaces to help identify a suspect. It's believed this wasn't a random shooting and Pippen was targeted.
